Particle motion in mixed flow dryers

نویسندگان

چکیده

Differences in flow rates of this nature have a significant effect on the unevenness moisture content dried material, since material which remains drying chamber for an unnecessarily long time is over-dried and under-drying problem remaining dryer too short time. In article, I analyzed increasing particle-wall friction particle velocity field. The research has shown that dead zones are formed vicinity rough walls, reduce uniformity flow. results show tribological properties inner wall surfaces dryers can very efficient operation dryers.

Turbulent Flow and Particle Motion in Continuous Slab-Casting Molds

Turbulent flow in the continuous casting process involves transient phenomena and the transport of inclusion particles and plays an important role in the quality of the steel. As shown in Fig. 1, the molten steel jet entering the mold may carry inclusion particles (e.g. alumina) and argon bubbles. Liquid flux can also be entrained from the shear of the liquid flow across the top surface and for...

A Numerical Study of Drop Motion in Poiseuille Flow

The cross-stream migration of a deformable drop in two-dimensional Poiseuille flow at finite Reynolds numbers is studied numerically. In the limit of a small Reynolds number (<1), the motion of the drop depends strongly on the ratio of the viscosity of the drop fluid to the viscosity of the suspending fluid. For a viscosity ratio 0.125, the drop moves toward the centre of the channe while for t...

Mixed convection on radiative unsteady Casson ferrofluid flow due to cone with Brownian motion and thermophoresis: A numerical study

In this study, the Brownian motion and thermophoresis effects on the MHD ferrofluid flow over a cone with thermal radiation were discussed. Kerosene with the magnetic nanoparticles (Fe3O4) was considered. A set of transformed governing nonlinear coupled ordinary differential equations were solved numerically using Runge-Kutta based shooting technique. A simulation was performed by mixing ferrou...
